I find I am constantly being asked to drink Kool-aid. But what if I like grape juice? What if I want purple? I find it odd that these days, many of my conservative brothers and sisters are very quick to basically say you’re either with us or you’re against us! Is there no more room for free thought? This is the entire reason why I started this blog. I DISAGREE >.< And I’d like to hope that more people begin to disagree as well. We don’t have to accept one mantra or the other like zombies. Questions SHOULD be allowed. Questioning is the beginning of wisdom (Lt. Cm Worf, TNG). I wonder did the founding fathers sit around and say to themselves, “Well, the main thing we want to accomplish when we create this constitution is to have people stop thinking. This is the end of it. It’s said and done. No new human knowledge will occur after this point NATURALLY! They don’t need BRAINS per se, just an ability to hold up signs with stuff we said on it!” Yes, this would have been Jefferson’s finest hour o.O? My people, we’ve got to be willing to think . . . unafraid to think . . . to dream . . . to have vision. Just because Barack Obama “coined” hope and change does not mean that those are now “dirty” words. The Republican party NEEDS to change. Not to become appeasers, but to be unafraid to examine and defend our ideas on an intellectual level. And we also need to be unafraid to allow the young, urban conservative to join in and share their expertise of what is happening on the front lines of the inner city!
